Re: How much dirt do you accept?
Once every 2-3 weeks depending on how dusty it gets. Do a quick detail spray or rinse less wash or do the full monty wash depending on what my whim strikes me.

Re: How much dirt do you accept?
On my 1997 Nissan Pathfinder on a monthly basis, I use it as a daily driver and to go to the mountains to the shooting range, 2006 Mustang GT I do a 1 once a month was and touch us weekly since it is Black and it is a dust magnet. After a wash 4 days later looks like if it was sitting in Gobi desert and a bunch of sand was cake into it.

I just wait till the weekend and do a rinseless as its quite hot. Otherwise when weather is decent weekly full wash top to bottom (cannon, 2 bm).

10-15 mins?? Rinseless takes me 45 mins minimum including prep and getting buckets out and what not :/

LOL! That's exactly what happens to me in Dubai within 3-4 days.

Re: How much dirt do you accept?
Usually a full wash each weekend for both cars. My car gets a waterless wash every few days with a final wipe with Megs spray wax. I like to drive clean cars.

Interior? Must be immaculate at all times.
Exterior? I can let it go to once a month.

Re: How much dirt do you accept?
When I read the title I thought Mike was referring to how much dirt do you accept on a car you are detailing for someone else. But seems like we are referring to our own cars, so for me, I wash my car and wife's at least once a week, and never let either car go more than 24 hours if we were unfortunate enough to have salt on the roads. Each wash is followed by a spray wax. Twice a year each car gets an AIO polish/sealant and 6 hand wax applications. Wife's car is a 2012 A4 and mine a 2001.5 Passat. Both car's paint are in the same condition. I would say maybe an 9 out of 10 on a daily driver scale, and only one gets garaged - guess which one? Not mine. Lol. So I guess the answer is ' very little dirt'
Great thread...
