Lexus Obsidian Black is some of the softest, most finicky paint I have dealt with. I recently completed an IS 250 that responded very well to M205 and MF finishing pads. Some really bad areas were compounded with M100 then stepped down to M205. Everything was finished with CarPro Reflect.

Headliner: APC diluted to interior strength (for example Blackfire APC @ 1:10). Spray onto a vent brush and lightly agitate. Blot with a dry MF towel. Wet a MF towel with water and blot again to remove any remaining APC residue. Blot again with dry MF

Start with a test spot with M205 and LC orange pad. If that doesn't work, try UC or M105 on the orange pad. Then finish out with M205.

You didn't mention what (if any) pads/products you already have, so I'm assuming you already have ^ those, or are able to buy them.

What is the theory on starting with an Orange Pad and M205?

Wolfgang Finishing Glaze is often used with a Black Pad.

I have also had success using it with a Blue Lake Country CCS pad.
