I just bought a bottle of Citrus Wash Red to use for my strip washes. I know CG also has Citrus Wash Clear. Can anyone tell me what the differences are between these 2 soaps? It seems both don't have any extra additives in them.
I've always used CG Wash Clear but have always been curious about Red. I find Wash Clear to work really well as a prep wash before correction or before reapplying LSP. Must wear gloves though because it really dries out your hands!
I remember looking at a chart a month or so ago and it showed that the Red did have gloss enhancers. I use clear because it has no wax or gloss enhancers.

Red is supposed to be their stripping wash. Clear is made to be a daily, or weekly, wash - one that will not effect the LSP at normal dilutions. I know that if you use the same stripping dilution of one ounce per gallon it says you get the same result but I have yet to verify this.
So yeah, Citrus Wash (Red) is supposed to be stronger. While Wash & Clear is a "everyday" shampoo. Happy detailing!
CG also has a plain old citrus wash. Its orange in color and is what I use as my lsp stripper. They have so many products that do the same thing! It gets confusing at times.
