    I think what that what the video shows is that when correctly using a polisher, by keeping the pad very flat, it is quite difficult to burn or strike through paint. The damage comes when the pad is on edge or you are working on a sharp body line.
    I also think you would have burned through twice as fast with a wool pad.

    I'm still in the Coast Guard, been in for 10 years. Wool would of been quick for sure, I don't even own any wool pads.
