    Xpel Ultimate?

Anyone have experience with Xpel Ultimate self healing film?

Worth the money? How does it look on the car? Invisible?

Anyone know a quality installer in the Portland Oregon, Seattle Wa areas?

    Thanks!

I have Xpel PPF on a couple of my vehicles...
I'm glad I do!! Well worth the money.

The Xpel self-healing is next on my list.

I have the Xpel Ultimate on my car. Looks just like paint so it's hard to see where it begins and where it ends.

How long is Xpel supposed to last? I was looking at the new 3m Spray Film but it's said to only last a year! That's alot of work to do every year, especially when you drive the vehicle about 1200 annually. I wonder what happens to the 3m at say 10 mos.? Start peeling, cracking, turning yellow etc?

The Xpel Ultimate has a 10 year warranty. Xpel Xtreme has a 7 year warranty.

Got ya, still looking for a spray on, too bad 3m requires yearly reapplication.

Don't go spray on. Here is what hours and days of reviews and discussions online and off has taught me. Maybe it will help you.

Most guys with high end cars are going this route (911's M5's AMartin Ferrari etc)

Have your car polished to perfection. By you or professionally.

Put Xpel Ultimate or SunTek PPF on the areas you know will get the rock chips. Some guys wrap the whole car. I did the front, rockers and lower rear. Do your entire hood to avoid a line.

You can't tell it is on the car at all.

Then have the non-wrapped areas or the whole car treated with Opti-coat 2.0 or Professional grade Opti-guard. Do the wheels!

You will freak out at how well the car repels dirt and water. The nano-tech in Optiguard is awesome and lasts years.

Then after washing you can quickly spread your favorite wax on the whole car (avoid getting it in the edges of the protection film as it can cause lipping - just get within an inch)

The wax will add addtional shine, a little more protection but not needed with the opti and give it that slick as snot feel.

Your car will avoid scratches, chips and dirt for a very long time. Just wash it correctly as shown on this site.

I have a 2013 Black M5 and it looks ridiculous. I use Fuzion Estate Wax but any quality wax will make it shine and your wash mitt slide!

But again, the film and opti will do just fine on their own, the wax is just to take it up a level.

Many guys who know more than me pointed me in this direction and it is the best IMO.

    Good luck.

Optimum Polymer Technologies, Inc. spokespersons adamantly state that
    Opti-Coat and Opti-Guard/(Pro), are not "nano-tech".

    Instead...
I believe they say these Coatings are pre-polymer resins.
    Still excellent products!

    And so is XPel's!!
