Best MILDEST polish by hand ?
Hi Looking for an extremely mild polish best suited by hand ?
The two products that keep popping up are: Sonax Profiline Final and Menzerna 3-800.
The red (non metallic) paint has no visible swirls, just looking to assure a clean/clear surface prep ready for Wofgang Deep Gloss 3.0.
Note: will use Gyeon Prep after polishing and before sealant.
Thank you !

Its not necessary to narrow down your search to only super fine polishes for your specific purpose. Even something as versatile as 3D One or Griots Fast Correcting Cream or Meguiar's Ultimate Polish (which offer moderate correction capability with a machine) by HAND with a foam pad will do the job without any concern of marring or "correcting".

Something like a paint cleanser maybe like P21S? Just use a microfiber applicator to work it on the surface.
I think wolfgang has a paint cleanser too. It's usually a non-abrasive chemical cleaner from my understanding.
I'm sure others will know more about the process.
Edit: Wolfgang Paintwork Polish Enhancer, is Wolfgang's paint cleanser.

Thank you both.
I did consider a paint cleanser, but actually would prefer something with some abrasives although as mild as possible.

You need to let the hardness of the paint be your guide more so than the cut of the polish. Especially if you are going to be working by hand.
If the paint is really hard, a polish like Sonax 04/06 will have little/no impact at all. I've seen that even with a machine. On really hard German paint, you might have to use a swirl remover or even a compound to even do a minor spruce-up.

My vote goes to Meguiar's Ultimate...
But I've also found that just about any polish, whether recommended for hand use or not, will do the job if you adjust your process as you find fit.

UNO Pure is a very fine polish.

I might be in the minority here, but here it goes... I would assess the paint after your decontamination process (wash/clay/iron remover) and go from there. If there isn't any visible marring, and you are happy with the finish, there really is no need to polish the paint. Your sealant will bond to the paint just fine and you save a whole step in the process.

Agreed. I always hated hand waxing when that was a thing, couldnt imagine polishing by hand! Lol
To each their own though, the OP sounds more ambitious than i.
