Should I get a pressure washer?
Currently I am washing my truck with a bucket, but I wanna buy a pressure washer to have fun while I do it. Since its only for my truck, it seems it migth be an overkill.
What do you guys think?

Yes, yes you should have one and a foam cannon to go along with it.
When it comes to a persons worth, money is a lousy way to keep score.

Re: Should I get a pressure washer?
yes, i would get one and for around $100 this would be perfect. not to mention with the colder months where all the junk clings to the car, a pressure washer will blast it all off which will make cleaning easier. most all foam cannon's (buy one for lower PSI pressure washers) come with the adapter already attached so this pressure washer shoudln't require anything more extra to buy to use it...

if you're referring to this thread (below), he is using a foam gun which attaches to a standard garden hose where as a foam cannon/lance is used with a pressure washer...

You don't have to have one, but they can help knock the loose dirt off and also add to the fun.
Just remember, a pressure washer and foam gun will complement your bucket wash, not replace it. To get vehicle clean, you will still need some agitation with some form of wash media.

I consider a pressure washer one of my best purchases. Especially if you get your truck muddy.
Removing 90% of dirt/mud/grime prior to hand washing = decreased chance of inadvertent love marks on the paint.

I totally agree with this. I think a pressure is probably one of your most valuable detailing tools.

If anything can be said about pressure, it's that a gas-powered machine has too much for detailing purposes IMO. Any electric pressure washer is fine, they all have enough to knock dirt off and apply foam. The gas ones have so much that they can strip paint if you're not careful (same goes for electric, but much lower risk).
