What are these yellow droplets
I an in La Jolla California. My cars get covered by small yellow spots/droplets. If they sit for any length of time, even a few days, they stick like glue Many times I end up having to use my fingernail to scrape them off. Yesterday just minutes after after washing 4 of our cars I noticed four fresh spots smack in the middle of the hood on my wife's Land Rover! I have heard that they are bug spots. Pollen spots. Excess aviation fuel. Fly droppings......you name it. What are they? A fresh wax helps to make them easier to clean off but still they are a real pain. Thanks.
Happy Fourth to you all and a huge thanks to our troops and their families who are keeping us safe and free! Phil

Re: What are these yellow droplets
I think they might be from Dragon Flies. I just noticed the same thing about a week ago. It got on there while my sealant was curing. I noticed two drops of it. There weren't any trees within 200 yards and it wasn't noticeably windy. But I have noticed Dragon Flies hanging around. The drops I've had look like they would be just a little too big for an average fly, and way too small for a bird.

Re: What are these yellow droplets
Just found this video after doing some searching. The doo doo definitely looks yellow and the amount looks similar to what I would expect to make the drops.

I think I know exactly what you are talking about as I get it all over my car within a day or two of washing the car. No trees near where I park at work either :/.
However my house is on a main road and 1000's of cars pass my car daily.
So could be anything at this point. All I know is....its yellow and tiny spots just as you mention (source unknown though).

Based on the above its one of two things - Bug poo or hummingbird poo. My guess would be bug poo. Not specific to dragonflys but bug poo - as theres a lot of bugs around in summer in Dubai - no dragonfly's however.

I've been reading some more and it seems like bees are a big cause too, so I think you're right in that it could be any bug doo doo.

Yes! After a little deeper reading of insect poo (I love how we spend our time lol) it does narrow it down to bees - at least if its yellow.

Hahaha! I was seriously thinking the same thing as I was googling and reading about insect excrement.
