    Recon was looking at an extension not a adapter.
    Yes I realize that, but it's my understanding that using the Adapter will allow you to use the rotary extension on a DA.

    Why not just get a 3"-3.5" backing plate? Now if you were wanting a 1" backing plate then the rotary extension would work with the DA.

    I agree! I use a 3.5" BP and 4" pads with my GG6, but the OP wants to use 3" pads--thus the questions and answers regarding the extension and adapter.

    The OP(myself) actually received great feedback and suggestions and I decided on a 3" plate to use on my GG6. Thread became a little confusing when the second question was brought up by the 2nd "op". 😊

    Anyway, thanks again to all those that offered up suggestions for my question!
