Griots Garage BOSS long throw DA
So I finally got a chance to see the video and pictures of the product with pads and chemicals and it looks like a pretty good machine. Like the Rupes, it comes in 15mm and 21mm throws. Anyone else looking at their new DA polisher? I'm trying to step up from the Porter Cable 7424XP and this looks like a good option vs the Torq I was considering.

Looks like a great machine. Reviews so far from Detailers who used it pre-release are excellent. More power. Lifetime warranty. Win !!!!

Now the decision is if I want to get the 15mm or 21mm throw lol.

It's a 2yr warranty. The lifetime warranty is only againsts defects and there are exclusions.

The lifetime warranty on the GG 6 is no different--it's against defects in workmanship or parts. Griot's customer service has been excellent and there are many post on AG and other forums of how Griots replaced a problematic GG 6 with not questions asked.

I tried to find the warranty info of the gg6 and could not find it on AG nor GGs website so I couldnt compare them. If thats the case, then cool.
My concern was that I own things with "lifetime warranties" and when you call they are like "sorry thats not covered"....infuriating!

I accidently had a towel wrap up in my GG6 when "cleaning a pad on the fly" which snapped the shaft on the backing plate in half. Sent it to Griot's & they sent me a brand new one! Mine was around a year old at the time.

Warranty info is under their Customer Service tab......really is pretty much lifetime for defects , but does not cover normal wear and tear from use (duh)

Griots has been outstanding with their warranty and customer service since day one. I would expect nothing less with these units.

Re: Griots Garage BOSS long throw DA
The throw of a Rupes and the amps and wattage of a Flex- the best of both worlds. The only issue I see is the rpm or opm which is low, something common with long throw DA's.
