Re: Griots Garage BOSS long throw DA
So would y'all suggest going with the flex DA as an upgrade to the PC 7424XP?

no comparison, you are comparing two different animals. when the flex first came out years ago (since then nobody has copied it to my knowledge) it didn't have the option for different backing plates like they do now and you can run 4"-6.5" pads to pretty much cover most all your detailing needs. it's a beast...

That's why I was saying do y'all suggest I upgrade from the PC to the Flex. If I'm gonna spend a good chunk of change, I want it to be on the right product.

if it were me, I would personally go with the flex DA over the others right now. it's more versatile with the different backing plate & pads and their won't be a stalling issue if that bothers you. so many great choices out there these days, just got to find what you personally like and are comfortable with...

I'm looking for a product that's going to be able to achieve the most minimal work to the hardcore jobs. A tool that has enough power to do a good thorough job.

If you're on a budget the Megs MT300 is a great machine. I've had mine a little over a week and have done my '15 Sierra and '14 RAM plus four customers vehicles. I'm using the Megs thin pads and it's been correcting anything I throw at it. I wouldn't upgrade to the FLEX unless my 300 doesn't last and I don't see it quiting on me anytime soon. I am going to buy a 15mm long through just to have one and to maybe use on larger panels like hood and roof.
