I just got a G9 and am planning on picking up the G8. Griots doesn't offer a hard case for either. Can anyone recommend a hard plastic case for these?

Do you have any woodworking skills? Or have a friend that does?

You could make a wooden hard case.

Here's a few different examples of cases I've made...

This is what I use. 7 gal HDX tote plus DEWALT Tool Organizer Foam Insert (DWST88801) cut down to fit.

Hardly exotic, but I use a 15qt snap top Sterilite tote.

Fits the G8, G9, both little bags they came with, the 10 ft and 25 ft cord, pad cleaning brush, and all the backing plates (2,3,5,6). I take the plate off the G9 (no loss there; I never know which plate I’m going to want on it when I take it out).

I was going to get the pick foam for it, but it all nestled in there so well I didn’t bother. I wanted something just-big enough so it doesn’t take up a lot of shelf space - really happy. I figure there are enough dollars in that box I’m gonna be careful how I handle it!

Some of my side detail work recently has been at customers homes.

In my polisher box i have my flex supa beast, and currently 18 hybrid force pads with room for easily 6 more. The other box is usually stuffed with so much more when im going to do a job.

I really like this setup.
