Re: And then... There was a G8 (Polisher)
I feel robbed. I bought the old one not to long ago and it's weak. Now they come out with this one.

Griot's Customer Service is second to none.
They are letting people trade in their older GG6 models as credit toward the new G9.
I would call them about your situation. I'd be willing to bet you will happy with what they have to say..........

Okay I called them and you were right! They impressed me. I'm going to take loss on the old one and get the new one at a discount. Since I wanted the new one anyway, it seems worth it. I have to send them the old one and they will send me out the new one on 11/22/19. Thanks for letting me know about them.

Another satisfied Griot's customer?? No Way!! Lol
They are all about the customer. If you aren't happy, they aren't either.
Glad to hear, man!

Yup, did the trade in thing with one of my GG6's and it shipped the same day, can't beat that!

This is probably just me being hopeful, but with the modular cord design maybe Griot's will put out battery packs for the G8 & G9. I'm sure I'm oversimplifying it, but it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult.

From auburn WA myself. You should go to griots HQ and check the tools out there. They’ll actually let you test them out before purchasing and service is top notch.

I see where you’re coming from, but if the G8 is as balanced as the G9, I don’t see how you could tack on 1-2 lbs of battery to the handle and not throw the ergonomics way off.
How about a camelback style power pack with a cord that comes over your shoulder?
Hmm. Wonder if you could do this already? How small of an inverter type battery pack do they make? Nice thing would be how easy it’d be to switch between polishers with the quick connect cord...
