new GG6 brushes question
I picked up a new GG6 over the winter. Being in the northeast I am getting ready to go outside and try it out.
My question is about the replaceable brushes. How do you know when the brushes are going and need to be replaced? Is it hours of service or workload? Does it stop working, vibrate or make noise etc..?
Thanks

Re: new GG6 brushes question
Although Griots includes the spare brushes I called customer service when I received mine eight years ago and was told to throw them away as replacing them on my own would void the lifetime warranty. You might want to call them yourself as their attitude may have changed.

It will just not turn on anymore, that's the only sign I've ever experienced.

you may want to call and ask if you should send it in if there ever is a problem, or if it's okay to try and change the brushes yourself while not voiding the warranty. here's a video of someone changing the brushes out on the GG3 (probably similar to the GG6)...

Re: new GG6 brushes question
Brush replacement on any electric tool is a simple process if you possess simple mechanical ability.
If you do not possess simple mechanical ability, don't feel bad about asking for help/guidance.
Up until about 3 years ago, I had no real car care ability until I came here to AGO.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
