mixing back plates and black paint product ideas for noob??
I'm excited buying my first DA polisher getting a GG6
questions:
I want to switch out to 5 inch pads I'm looking at getting the GG backing plate as I like the idea of the venting however I'm leaning towards going with the LC flat pads is it ok to mix plates with pads ??
i have a black 2006 3 series BMW that has been abused any product recommendations I'm thinking it's so rough tha I need to go with two step but open to ideas

You don't need to use the GG pads with their backing plate. An 11 year old car that hasn't been taken care of will certainly need more than an all-in-one product. The usual sequence would be to clay the paint then use a polish then an LSP. You'll probably have to use an aggressive pad with the polish but if things go well then the finishing pad with the final product.
