Griots Garage 3 inch HD Backing Plate

Is the new 3" HD backing plate still in the process of coming out? Any Idea on availability? I went to place a order, but orders can't be placed for this product.

I asked Griots this question directly...the email response (from 11/21) I got from them was:

"They should start releasing in about 2-3 weeks"

I was really interested in getting one of these. Very disappointed they're not available yet

I bought a griots 6" on sale on another site along with 3" HD plate. The plate is suppose to ship out the 20th. You fiquire 1/2 the price of a rupes mini....I know=I know Rupes is the best but for me and my 3 cars this should work fine

Seems like a lot of us have the same idea,the GG6 is half the price of the Rupes mini. Please post your findings when you test it against your Rupes mini.
