blown away by power of Flex Kompakt

Today was the first day I really used my Flex Kompakt for a major project. I am restoring a 92 fox body mustang drag car that had some of the worst paint I had ever seen. I wet sanded it down with 1500, 2500, 3000, and 5000. I used the kompakt on the rear hatchback area and front bumper with the included flex pads and m105, m205, and v38. This thing cut through the sanding marks lightning quick on speed 1 which was used most of the time and finished out great. Paint looks great now and once I figure out how to upload pictures on here I will attach them. Anyone debating buying this tool I highly recommend it!

    Thanks for sharing.

You'll see the FLEX Kompact 3 on our new TV show as we used it for a number of projects.

I purchased the kit from autogeek and once I had the different pad sizes in front of me I suddenly started thinking of all the things I could polish! This is my first rotary machine and I am really impressed so I plan on getting the pe14 soon.

Does anyone has experience with this one and the BigFoot Nano?

I want to purchase a small polisher but cannot decide which one of these two.

I mainly want it to work on small areas and to sand headlights.

Price aside I think the ibrid nano is going to be pretty awesome since it can switch between rotary and da modes so you get the best of both.

I'd go nano and if you still want a rotary in bigger form get the PE14 can swap to any size BP with that while buffing as low as 600rpm

How easy is to handle tight spots using the PE14? Considering that cost the double of the PE8, what would be the main different between these two? just handle bigger backing plates?

I tried 5" wool pads on my PE-8

It got very hot, very quickly on speed 2.

I am convinced that the machine will fail quickly if you use pads that are larger than the recommended 3".
