Re: Need Help in Purchase of Polisher

Another vote for the Flex 3401, I am not as experienced as you and I have never used a rotary, but I suspect as others have said you will appreciate the forced rotation of the Flex coming from a rotary experience. For me it has proven to be a huge leap from my RO.

Re: Need Help in Purchase of Polisher

I started with a Porter Cable and progressed to a rotary and have used that for quite a few years myself. I absolutely cannot wait for the new Flex XCE to be released. I am comfortable and committed to forced rotation with so much time spent with my rotary and a Flex just seems natural for me. Couple the forced rotation with dual action and i'm sold.

Flex 3401 Would be my choice especially since you are used to a rotary.

Yes That's the one, I have used these for many many years and have always had good results and depending on your skill level as these I would not recommend for the beginner detailer but someone who has machine wheel experience. I have done some very beautiful automobiles and have made the transition from woll to foam pads as it will do either. Again it is a workhorse and I have an orbital but have been looking into these DA Polishers.
Thanks, for any remarks or comments as to the pro's and con's.
