Question A question for Flex 3401 users

For any Flex 3410 users - Do you find that using the Flex 3401 saves time over a PC or other DA? Thanks.

Flex owner here.. Yes, i often can do 4 section passes on 5/6 speed, and move on to the next one while with a PC i'd have to do 6 passes full speed with a PC.

I've only used that machine one time but it was on damaged Mercedes diamond hard paint. The trunk where the lady constantly set her purse and anything taken out of the trunk was a disaster as were most of the horizontal surfaces. This machine was a pleasure to use and corrected the area in nothing flat compared to anything else available at that time. I was sold immediately.

Yes and no. It will cut down on time and will correct a lot faster but you'll find yourself chasing more defects. Anyway that's what I found

Thanks Guys. From what I've read about the machine I felt a user should save some time.

Eric M, I had to chuckle after reading your reply. I just have to learn to walk away from some defeats and do justifying my actions by telling myself that I don't have the right equipment. I could see a Flex become a trap for me.

    Thanks everyone!

The Flex 3401 VRG is a SUPERIOR Machine than the PC or any other DA. However, there is a learning curve. Once you master it; you will save significant time. That being said...I still use my PC 7424 XP. I do not use it as much as I used to. However, all DA's whether it be a PC, Rupes, Griot's are all great DA's if you can master how they work. Mastering the technique cuts significant time.

    Dedicated Flex user here.

I sure do. With the power of forced rotation you will never have to worry about the machine bogging down or pad stoppage when you approach curved panels. Whether you equip the 3401 with 7" pads or 4" pads it won't slow down.

Don't hesitate to ask further questions.

I fully agree! OP, if you grab a 3401 make sure you grab the Hybrid pads as they were designed for this machine. Also pick up some Menzerna and read through my article in that link.

Thanks for bring that up James!
