Yep, found it on Amazon...$120.
Thanks.
Even though I have a massive air compressor in the basement, I prefer to use electric polishers. This one will do it. I'll do a bit more research and track down a parts list. I want to make sure they didn't cheap out.
Just found the parts list; ball and needle bearings.

I'm on the Metabo site as I was before, and all I could find is their 7 inch angle polisher.
Model number of the one you posted above? Found it...they call it an orbital sander.
Aren't most of the orbital auto-polishers based off the Porter Cable orbital-sanders?...

Re: 3 inch Flex DA Orbital
On a trip to Nick Chapman's in Dallas a few years ago I had the chance to try the Metabo and the 3" griots. IMO the were as close to identical as possible in performance. There was no advantage of one over another. The griots has its place but will disappoint some for not having the raw power of the 6" machine.

I have a 6" machine in a Flex XC 3401 VRG. I'd like to add a 3" machine for the smaller stuff.
The majority of the surface is left to my Flex, so for the little bit that is left over, I can live with less power and take more time.
But its not the power I am worried about, its the reliability. After reading quite a few reports on the Griots 3-inch polisher, I'm wondering about its reliability past and present (even the upgraded ones).
I'll pay the extra $25 for a polisher made in Germany.

Re: 3 inch Flex DA Orbital
I bought a 3" GG polisher two weeks ago. After using it for half an hour I decided to return it. The employee I have talked with told me "your not the first member to return this tool "and apparently this online store will not sell it anymore.

Especially if one has an air compressor.
To name a few:
Chicago Pneumatic (CP)
Ingersoll Rand (IR)
Metabo
Dynabride

Bob, that Metabo SXE 400 is not listed on the Metabo.de (Germany) or Metabo Canada sites. Its only shown on the Metabo US site.
Is it a re-badged made in China unit, or is it made in Germany? And why isn't it listed on the company's main site?

I'll save the $25.00 and get a lifetime warranty.

Re: 3 inch Flex DA Orbital
This past week at the Expo I looked at the rupes LHR75 pneumatic random orbital polisher, 15 mm throw. They didnt have air so I could not use it, but I would love to give a try.

Hey Johny,
I got one for Christmas but haven't used it yet, what made you return it?
