Flex PE14-2 Trigger Lock

So I finally used my new Flex PE 14-2 this past weekend and it seemed I was having some issues, every now and then, locking the trigger. I would press the lock in but it wouldn't lock. Is anyone else finding that this is alittle sensitive? Or should I say...non responsive?

Tim.....mmmmmaaaannnnn I absolutely love the Flex!!! It felt great to work with. It was nice and comfortable. I had to get used to its power, but I got used to it really quick. I did try to jewel with it, and I think I did a fairly good job at it. I need to get different pads for it though. I used a grey CCS pad for the smaller areas and a black Kompressor pad for the majority of the car. It worked pretty good...I kept saying "WOW" when I would watch as the gloss heightened. After I applied the PO85RD, I wiped down with GG pre-wax cleaner, applied WGDGPS-let it cure, and then topped that off with Collinite 915.

But the Flex made the detail job fun again. Don't get me wrong...the PC7424XP is a great machine, but it seemed somewhat exhausting to do a 2 stage polish on a ride. The Flex made it fun again.

My 3401 seem to be hard to trigger lock as well.... but i thinking it's the design of it...
But i think if my hands are bigger it might be easier to lock the trigger....
I think my hands are too small for this flex lol

I have the same problem with my 3401, know it is not the rotary you are working with.

you are absolutely sure that the gloss increased? It's not just a placebo effect? You would be able to tell which panel you jeweled and which panel you didn't, even on a 50/50?

I definitely did not want to hear this...

I've never had any issues with my trigger lock. It seems to lock and unlock just fine with no issues.

I mean I may not have done it all the way right but I could tell that it the gloss enhanced. It takes alittle while to work in but you can see the product go from a haze to clear and to me, watching the product break down lets me know I'm working the product right and you can clearly see that while working with a rotary.

Oh...one more thing...mastering the picking up the bead on a the fly is pretty darn easy!
