    **Sanding Scratches...

    what grit will your flex xc 3401 vrg remove,I tested out one today and it was able to remove 2000 grit sanding scratches with a Mothers Line of compound yet I was unable to remove 1500 scratches...Pad used was a orange foam cutting pad!

    ive gotten out 1500 with my flex, a wool pad and compound i get from a local retailer here in wisconsin called moore oil. so its possible

    The most I have taken out with a Flex is 1500. That was with M105, though. With a DA, I have removed 1000 grit marks with a Surbuf pad and M105.

    It all depends on the paint. My experience was with a moderately hard panel. If yours is on the harder side, the above strategies may not work as well.

    On dark hard paint can be a problem even 2000 grit. For extreme situations I use the yellow LC pad and presta cut cream or power gloss but get ready for some serious swirls with these combos.

    The key is to finish the job sanding. 2000 is not finished. Go over it one more time, even lightly, with 3000. The difference is amazing. Polishes out faster and better.
