Finally bought a Flex XC 3401VRG
After tons of searching and reading everyone ones opinion about the Flex DA I finally bought one last night. The AG Bucket deal was to good to pass and it helped push me into getting a flex DA.
But in the end.. I'm going to pick up a PC as well. I would really like to use 4 inch pads for those smaller areas the flex will have trouble getting to.
I'm pretty excited to get my goodies !

Congrats on your Flex! It won't disappoint! I used mine just this past weekend
PS - I too will get a PC sometime in the future for those areas that a 4" pad would be better.

Congrats on the Flex! I absolutely love mine. for small areas I use the Griot's 3" Random for small places, or bring out the Flex Lightweight with a 4" on it.

Thanks everyone !
Yup I thought about getting the Griot's 3" random as well along with the Flex.. so I'm still looking to get that or a PC.

PCXP is quite a bit more useful than the Griots 3". If you can swing the extra cash, totally worth it.

i agree that the porter cable is a better choice. i have owned both generation griots 3 inch and the pc with 4 inch seems better. those little griots suckers sure get hot too. just my 2 cents worth

Does anyone have issues with their flex getting hot? What causes it? I have had a couple of pads have the Velcro backing plate fall off and I attribute it to the heat my flex is putting off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i got an 3m blue ultrafina pad loosing velcro.
from what i read everywhere is normal to get hot. actually heat helps in correction.
more brakes should help cool down the flex
