Question Edge Wool Pads with Flex??

Anyone use them (6") with success or should they be left for rotary use only? I am thinking of trying out the yellow or green.

    Thanks,
    Chris

You know that's a good question. It's only normal to wonder about trying all kinds of buffing pads with both the Flex VRG 3401 as well as other tools.

My guess is that even if it does work it might scour the finish due to the action of the tool against the paint.

Just like a foam cutting pad can micro-mars some pads when used on a DA Polisher but leave a crystal clear finish when used with a direct drive rotary buffer.

I'll definitely give it try next time I have a project in the AG Garage.

Awesome!! Thanks Mike!! I've been using the LC PFW and M105 for the really nasty stuff, but I primarily use Edge foam pads, so I was wanting to stay in the Edge line so as not to keep having to change BP's. I am concerned that the Flex, although powerful in it's own right, still won't have enough power for these wool pads. Maybe I'll just give it a whirl, too.

    Thanks again!!

I've had good luck with a Flex and purple wool pads (6"). Actually finished down really good on a black subaru.
