How will this polish/pad combo work for me with the Flex?

I just ordered my Flex 3401 along with LC CCS 6.5" orange and white pads. I also ordered Optimum Polish II. My vehicle is a 2008 Mazda 3 & the paint in in overall good condition. The only areas that are swirled are the roof and hood. The swirls on the hood are just barely noticeable, but the swirls on the roof are almost what I'd consider to be moderate. I was thinking I'd use the Optimum Polish/white pad on the hood, and use the Optimum/orange pad on the roof.

I also have some clear coat etching on the front bumper from bugs & I'm not sure what combo to use to correct that.

Any help/advice here would be appreciated.

IF the swirls are barley noticeable, use the white pad first. You need to get a couple gray pads also. You should get a finishing polish to use after the OPII.

OK, I can get some grey pads.

Would something like Opti-Seal be OK as a FP?

I've used ONR and Optimum car wash so far and both are great.
