I've swapped over to the 6" backing plate and am trying 6" pads.

Lake Country offers a ThinPro pad, HDO & HDO CCS all designed for long strokes.... Anyone have experience with these?

I'm currently using Buff n' Shine Uro-Tec & Rupes D-A System pads.

What's your favorite? :xyxthumbs:

I use the Uro-Tec yellow and white for polishing / Finishing for the most part.

At work I had them order the LC HDO blue and orange (we still have enough of the white Adam's waffle finishing pads).

Unfortunately we've had issues with the backing lifting off the HDO pads, which isn't typical with the ones I used in the past, or the ones my co-worker uses in his home shop.

I will be honest and say that I love just about all the pads from the major players - Buff and Shine, Lake Country, Meguiar's and Rupes.

That being said, I absolutely love the footprint of the Uro-Tec. I love the way they fit on the plate, and the definitive corner, rather than the beveled edge.

I like the "feel" of the yellow Uro-Tec over the yellow Rupes D-A.

I have a HDO on an order to give it a try.

The HDO pads are a good option The Rupes yellow is another good option.
