Yes, I will replace it myself...I did just notice other’s on here that have modded there’s with longer cord’s. I might just go with a 50’. Just was curious if Flex sold the 25’ separate.
I would think any quality extension cord would work as long as the wires are the same gauge or one size bigger. Cut the female end off and install it. It may void your warranty.
Looks like Autogeek has discontinued it and my guess is because it was a very slow mover or slow seller. It's a GREAT cord, but like anything - if it ain't selling, it gets dropped from inventory.
I have I think 6 of them in the garage and use them all the time. I plug in whatever tool I'm using and then TAPE the to ends of the cords together so they won't come un-plugged and then get to work.
We do sell the really nice Pro Lock Extension Cords, and I really like these cords for my classes,
But when I'm detailing cars, I prefer a 50 footer for the convenience of being able to completely get around a car plus the car is not always parked close to the electrical outlet.
For your needs, I would highly recommend getting a 12 gauge extension cord to wire into your polisher. IF you're going to do it, might as well go BIG.
I'm looking to replace the 8 foot cord on a Flex machine and replace it with the same cord that is used for the Autogeek HD model with 25' cord. Does anyone know what specs this cord has and where I can buy it?
