    Re: FLEX XC3401 problem

Update: Just got off the phone with Dave from Powerhouse Dist.He is sending me a new BP and Felt ring.Dave suggest saturating the Grey Felt ring in light-weight oil and this should help stop the transfer of heat to the BP and Housing unit. Excellent Service from Dave at Powerhouse.ZoranC thanks for your help & quick response to the thread.

^^^ +2 for Powerhouse service. After getting my new backing plate and felt ring, then letting it sit in a little oil, I no longer have any issues.

I've not had any issues with the oil getting on the car. Be sure to only use a very little amount of oil. It may come out onto the white part of the BP, but after a couple of uses, I've seen no evidence of the oil causing any issues.

    Re: FLEX XC3401 problem

I thought i was one of the lucky ones but, after doing about 10 cars my backing plate melted and the felt ring stuck to it. I check to make sure its tight before i use it everytime ,why now after 10 cars? Who do we go thru to get a new one? What are they doing to correct it?
