Could a FLEX XFE 7-12 80 Owner please check the backing pad dimensions please?
I would like to use the Flex XFE 7-12 80’s Standard part # 454.141 75mm Velcro Backing pad, on my Makita PO6000C.
It appears they both use same type of drive stub, and are secured by a single hex head bolt.
The bolt on the Makita is an M8 or 8mm thread diameter.
Of course it means The Flex backing pad needs to have an 8 mm hole to take the securing bolt, and to know if the drive lug with the flats either side is the same size!
Shaft is 16.82mm across the flats x 18.88mm on the curved part
Backing Pad is 16.86mm across the flats x 18.96mm on the curved part. The recess is 4.26mm deep.
note if I was very Lucky, I might find someone who owns a Makita PO5000C and the Flex 75mm XFE 7-12 80
I would be grateful , If any Flex 7-12 80 owners could let me know.
thanks
Peter

A quick measure with cheap calipers says my XFE 7-12 has:
M6-1.0x20 allen flange screw (4mm key size)
Shaft: 16.90mm across the flats, 19.10mm on the rounds
Plate: 16.99mm across the flats, 19.34ish mm on the rounds. Recess: 3.80mm
Just some quick measurements, maybe someone else can chime in with more precise ones.

Thanks so much for measuring everything.
The recess looks a bit longer, but should fit.
Bad news it uses a 6 mm bolt .... more work needed to expand that to accomodate the Makita Bolt
Very much appreciate the measuring

No problem! Keep us updated on how things go, and good luck to you. Worse comes to worse, you could always pick up a 7-12 80, lol! It's a handy little tool. Also, welcome to the board!

Yes the 7-12 80 .. would be a great complimentary polisher to the Makita
I only bought mine to correct some cement tile-cutter dust, that attached itself to the car when it rained.
Fortuneately multiple snow foam washes detached it, so I only really needed the Makita to gloss up any fine scratches one may get with a Clay Bar.
The little Flex would be very useful on the Bumpers and a few tight curves.
Naturally I want usage out if the Makita in future on other cars etc.
If only I could get a 3” backing pad .. that would do me for now.
