Photographers Meet Up
It seems that there are a lot of us that are into photography as a hobby, I wanted to gauge interest in getting together at some point during DF to hang out and talk photography. This will be my first DF, so not sure when the best time would be, but perhaps over lunch.

If I were going to DF I would love to join in. I'm quickly becoming a photography nut. Working with Aperture 3, Photoshop, illustrator, etc.

How do you like Aperture 3 ... I currently am using light room for 95% of my processing and I have been amazed at how well it streamlines the editing process.

I've had it for a week and really dig it. Think iPhoto but with numerous options. It's sorting and layout makes it a dream if you have thousands of images scattered all over your hard drive.

I would be in, if I was going to DF...
As for lightroom, I use it all the time, and is great! But I only do 50% of my pp there, then I transfer the pic to photoshop and do there in it since I do have a few plugins I use, then, my final pics make it into my iPhoto library, what I lik about iPhoto is just how simple it is to share the pictures to Facebook, iWeb, email, iPhones iPads... ( I do carry lots of pics on my iPad, is great to show pics...)
Aperture, I have it, actually, I have lots of pug ins for it, but never got into it...

How is the performance of Lightroom? These programs usually need tons of ram to work efficiently...

A fast hard drive is going to make more of a performance difference. With an SSD 4GB is plenty, but more is always better if you have it.
