Again, it isn't free shipping, it is fair shipping.
Fair to you. I'm sure TPTB have a good idea of what is fair to the company, considering all the extra services they provide. Nobody says you MUST shop here, if you don't like it, shop elsewhere. Or is Capitalism and a Free Market Economy foreign to you? It just seems very uncouth to whine about how a company chooses to operate in the free forum they provide for your benefit.

Given the subject of shipping ran 10 pages as of when I posted this it looks like it would be a good place to start

Why should this be considered "special"?
Like I mentioned early on in this thread:

Megan-
Not picking on you, but this is the same answer I got 3-4 years ago when i first started ordering from this site. Are you guys considering USPS shipping yet? What's holding you back? I'm just trying to understand why you wouldnt just offer USPS like everyone is wishing for... there must be a reason.

Could it be acceptance? USPS does not require a signature.

Why do they need to explain their business model and internal workings to you?

Neither does UPS.

They don't. Same way no one has to order from them. Some suggestions have been put forth (USPS and membership), and intentionally ignored. It would seem the shipping profits are an integral part of their business model.

Exactly. AG has commented on this, and this isn't the first time this has been discussed. If people can't accept it, you have other options. At this point, seeing the posts keep coming is like beating a dead horse and come across as whining.
