Re: No More Liquid Glass?
I don't know, but I'd really like to find out.
I called their number, went to voicemail, haven't had a call back yet.
Liquid Glass has excellent durability, I usually apply a coat every few months, and it always stays tightly beaded.
I hadn't used LG (or any wax/sealant) on my old 1994 for a good 6 months before I sold it, and it still beaded nicely when it left here.
It does dust some if you don't apply it very thin, and it can leave hard to remove streaks on darker cars, but when applied and removed right, my God, there's no questing why it's known as "Liquid Glass".
I could drive off of the reflection on my hood, without even looking at the road it was so brilliant.

Re: No More Liquid Glass?
Looks like the Liquid Glass company disappeared. But, with a little searching, there are places (including AGO) that carry it.
I think the current owner of the products is
Liquid Glass Total Appearance System Products from ShopMPT.com
It's also available at Amazon.
I started using LG back in the 1980s (before clear coat). I've used it with clear coat finishes, and always had cars that people commented about. (I'm an IT guy, not a detailer)
Since my wife's truck is being repainted, I decided it was time to move forward from the 80s. Bought a Flex XC 4301, some LC pads, and Menzerna products to take care of her Pathfinder after it returns from the paint shop.

Re: No More Liquid Glass?
Hi Jim,
Thank you for the link, liquidglass.com is no longer working.
I just need for this to be seen by people, including the AG staff.
I never got a call back, so I opted to call again, sure enough, guy picked up on the first ring.
(A few excerpts)
- Hi there, I just wanted to know if you folks were throtting down production, I can no longer find your polish in stores, and your website no longer seems to work?
*laughs* Throttling down? We can't keep up. Production is up over 25,000% percent over the last year.
(At this point I was taken aback, I mean that is the most ridiculous exaggeration I've ever heard over the phone)
- I find it hard to believe production is up that high, since no one around here seems to carry it anymore, including AutoGeek.
Autogeek is a garbage store, we won't let them carry our products anymore.
I could NOT believe that. I was completely taken off guard by this.
I then asked about the website, he then said it is no longer available for public viewing, you have to pay a membership fee of $25,000 to view it. Again, WTH? Apparently they have 6 million viewers a month.
I just hung up the phone, I don't know if someone was being a #### because it was 4:55 on a Tuesday, but I cannot believe the way he talked to me, and insulted AutoGeek.
I don't think I'll be using their polish anymore, as much as I love it. Someone with customer service as arrogant and insulting as that doesn't need to stay in business. I simply cannot believe it, I'm still in shock.
I just can't believe anyone representing a company with such fine products could talk to a customer that way, and insult a company that (let's face it) sells products far superior to LG.

Re: No More Liquid Glass?
Just another update in addition to the post above.....
Call MPT Industries, apparently they are making a version of LG that is improved (no dusting, no staining trim, etc.)
The current owner of Liquid Glass was who I apparently talked to just a few minutes ago. She said quite a few people have called them complaining like I was. Apparently the "$25,000 membership fee" is true, he apparently ran some ads in AutoWeek along those lines.
I'll be using MPT's version when I run out I guess, I cannot believe the way Liquid Glass now handles inquiries.

$25,000 isn't so bad, it could be "one billion dollars"

Re: No More Liquid Glass?
It might as well be!
The fact that anyone would pay a $25K fee to VIEW a website for an auto polish is ridiculous.
By the way, tried your Foaming Wheel & Tire cleaner the other day, best one I have ever used. Couldn't believe how well it worked. That'll be the only wheel/tire cleaner in my inventory from here on out.

If I'm not out any money...
One #### has never:
-Dissuaded my pursuit of a product I have always used, and enjoyed the results of doing so.
-Determined my thoughts on a Company's business philosophy/morality.

It's good to see you defend AGO...
But up until just recently, AGO was a reseller for LG's fine products.
That, then, would have to put LG into the superior category...IMO.
Sounds like when AGO does re-stock LG-products...
There will be more left for me to purchase...Thanks!!
Just saying.

Re: No More Liquid Glass?
I don't even know what to respond with. I know where you are coming from, and I agree, but I've never spoken with someone so rude and insulting before.
It's like "LG is the absolute finest product in the world, with people willing to pay 25K just to see our website, you should be thanking me for just staying on the line to insult you."
I don't know, I don't care to be honest right now. Moderators, feels free to delete this, I just thought their opinion of you needed to be brought to attention.
Anyway.
