Re: Major letdown
Thank you for your service, I know your frustrated. Yes, happens, my order is still being processed from several days ago. I’m sure they are under staffed. The way things are, I’m sure it was an error, I often say don’t rely on computers at all. Don’t worry I’m sure you’ll get another deal somewhere, or here Autogeek. I would email them and explain to them, give them the chance to make it right.

Re: Major letdown
I'm a hobbyist and just placed my 25th order today:
Subtotal: $163.91
Tax: $12.71
Shipping: FREE
Coupon Applied [tues25] : ($-22.74)
(25% off except for Mr. Colorchip kit). My average order is between $100-$500+ so I consider myself an experienced customer. I have had issues, snafus, problems with orders, mostly leaks. In no uncertain terms, Autogeek is one of the best mailorder businesses that I deal with. Only Amazon is on par. I am sure they will try to make good on your snafu. Stuff happens. The pandemic doesn't help, either, with supply chain issues. They have never failed to exceed my expectations whenever I have very rarely had an issue with an order.
Their reputation is really their crown jewel. Every snafu is an opportunity for them to delight customers. Please give them a chance to respond.

You're not alone. I've been waiting a month for some pads I ordered from Autopia. My neighbors ordered a coating for me to apply on their car from Autopia as well and they've been waiting six weeks at this point.

I vaguely remember hearing about this to as well, but that doesn't make a person feel any better. Most major players in the online retail space have their inventory tied to their storefronts and I'm just surprised this still isn't going on with PBMG.
I fully appreciate the economy and the logistics world is in a strange place. I've been to many retail sites which have many products marked as "out of stock" and I'm OK with that. I'd much rather know from the beginning rather than placing an order and getting an apologetic note a week later and still be waiting for the product many weeks later. I'm just thankful I do this as a hobby and it's too hot right now to do any work anyway.

Re: Major letdown
I’m surprised that apparently credit cards have been charged before the item(s) have been shipped. Although it’s a drag to get an apology that something is out of stock when it was ordered, it can be a big hassle when the item is out of stock and the card has been charged
In other categories I buy in, the vendor charges my card only after the item has been shipped and this saves a lot of grief.
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

Zero offense taken.
Like I stated in my previous post, AG is top notch and I am happy (but not at all surprised) to read that you were taken care of.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

I ordered a replacement part for my daughters 2016 Altima two weeks ago, the company charged my card then told me it was out of stock and a refund would take 4-5 days. It happens every day with online stores.
