$195 minimums

So, I've noticed with the Christmas in July sale as well as the McKee's dryer sale that the free shipping minimum was $195. Is this the new standard for free shipping?

I don't usually comment on these things but in this case I have to agree that the shipping costs have gotten way too high.

And the other thing is that that's after the discount, so if you buy $195.00 then apply the code it drops below $195 and applies a shipping charge so in theory in this case you'd have to spend $245.00 before applying the 20% so it stays above $195.00 for the free shipping.

Let's be clear. It was hardly X-mas in July. Caveat emptor...

And somehow I can see how the cost recovery for the mystery box promo works. Whether I am right or wrong matters not.... it's the perception that makes me wait this promo out.

In the last month we've offered several promotions on shipping:

• $5 shipping on ALL orders
• Free shipping over $150
• Free shipping over $195

....that's on top of any given promotional code (ie: 15% off, 20% off, 25% off, etc), plus the free sample option, free stuff over $50...etc etc etc.

We do our absolute best to make everyone happy.

If you happen to find a better deal elsewhere, we do honor our price and promotion match promise.

True, Nick. You guys do have good promotions. However, as we've all noticed, the general requirements (accumulated cost) in order to get free shopping has gone up in the past few year. During my tenure, $95, $125, $150 and possibly now $195. Just an observation and a question about what to expect.

Because, unless AG offers more frequently the 20%, 25% or maybe 30% off, the margin for the buyer goes down since we end up having to buy more... Especially if the other promos don't change.

Again, just an observation regarding expectations.
