Re: A little souvenir from the Steve McQueen 1956 Jaguar XKSS
That is cool Mike, and the 1956 Jaguar XKSS looks awesome, I've always liked Steve McQueen and his movies, my favorite being Bullitt.

Very cool Mike!
But would it kill you to drop it in a bucket of pad cleaner before you put it on display?!

That's funny but not going to wash it as that's a once in a lifetime detail.

We are a disturbed lot! I love it, Mike, and would probably have it in a glass case. Beautiful single stage British Racing Green.

Now that is one seriously good looking car. Thanks for sharing! Bullitt and Le Mans are some of my favorite films.

Beautiful single stage British Racing Green.
Maybe not a glass case but maybe sealed in a solid chunk of lucite plastic?

Those were all iPhone camera pictures. I just started going through the Canon "real" pictures today. Check out this thread...

Kind of cool and nerve wracking at the same time working on a priceless car.

Once in a lifetime detail...that is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I watched something on Velocity about that car and it has McQueen custom touches like chrome wheels and a Von Dutch glove box for his sunglasses
It's said to worth 30,000,000.00 and because of that I wouldn't wash the pad either!

Now that is cool. I'm sure that was an enjoyable detail.
I wouldn't wash that pad either!
