Re: FLEX Announcement for SEMA - Can You Guess What it is?

I'm guessing any one of the few who might either know or have a hint has to sign one of them there documents like leaving Area 51 - ya'll can't say nothing 'bout what ya know now.

My mind's racing too but i'm a very patient person. Love the suggested names, though!

Renny Doyle did a video interview with Bob from FLEX and they showed the new polisher. I think it's a DA. Might be a small rotary but, looked more like a traditional DA body. We will see.

It seems that a 1",2",3", polisher will be on the market. Just won't be a DA. (Just word of mouth so don't know how accurate this information is)

    Dear Art & Friends

    Flex's 3401 isn't a DA, is it?

Surely the machine we're speculating on is going to be a large-throw with forced rotation, like a Rupes but with torque.

I was also told that another machine would be introduced sometime next year. (From what I remember and don't know how accurate it is)

Re: FLEX Announcement for SEMA - Can You Guess What it is?

DA means Dual Action, which means it has 2 actions, rotation, and oscillation.

On the Flex, Oscillation and Rotation are from a geared mechanism. On the Rupes / GG / PCXP / G110v2 / etc, the rotation is caused by the oscillation, but it's not geared, it's spindle is free.

That's why some DA's may slow down depending on technique and panel shape, but the Flex will always rotate the pad.

However, both will be 'oscillating and rotating', which characterize all those tools in the 'DA polishers' category.

    Right?

    Just for clarifying.

    Kind Regards.
