Hanging with Dennis Gage and Christopher Titus at the 2012 SEMA Banquet
SEMA Awards Banquet
For the last 3 years in a row both Max and I have been invited as guests of Dennis Gage at the annual SEMA Banquet which is a lot of fun and an excellent dinner with entertainment.
This year Christopher Titus was the celebrity guest comedian and he also helped to announce awards for the members of SEMA.
First there was a cocktail party from 6:00pm to 7:30pm then after that you're led to the banquet room through a tunnel like this...

3-Course Dinner
I'm not much of a wine drinker but Dennis told me the Francis Coppola Claret was very good so we both enjoyed a glass with dinner...
Dennis always has a table at the very front of the banquet room close to the stage...
Desert was fancy and delicious!
Here's Titus doing his "Car Guy" comedy routine...
Christoper told me he drove his Challenger from California to the event and at home he's building a 1966 GTO...
Christopher Titus
Here's a shot of Christopher Titus and me at the 2012 SEMA Banquet. I met Christopher and Chip Foose in 2000 after wetsanding and buffing out the Titanic, (a custom 1956 Lincoln Premier), for Terry Cook and machine polishing and waxing "Scrape" (a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr), for Terry Cook. Both cars were on display at the "Cars & Cigars" party during the 2000 Pebble Beach Concours de Elegance and then the next day were auctioned off at the Blackhawk Action.
While not a huge deal, after prepping Terry's cars for the auction, Christopher asked if I had any tire dressing with me and of course I did, (I had everything needed to prep a car in a large duffel bag), so right before Chip's 0032 Ford Roadster when over the auction block I dressed the tires and wiped the finish, glass and chrome down. After the auction was over we all went out to dinner and then the next day checked out all the cars on display at the Monterey Car Show.
Christoper said he heard about our TV show "What's in Autogeek's Garage" and congratulated me for staying with my passion for detailing cars all these years.
