    Varnish

Anybody ever buff/polish varnish, I'm sure it's like polishing a thick clear coat, susceptible to the same uv, waterspots and scratching. I've seen a 3m video and they use regular compound, polish, and wax. I don't think anybody in the harbor does this, they just have there wood sanded/stripped and revarnished. I see alot of varnish that could just use a polish rather than a complete redo unless its necessary.

    Re: Varnish

Did it years ago on an old hatteras to see how it would look. It didn't really work, but the varnish was in really bad shape. I suppose it may work if varnish isn't too far gone.
