Removing mold from vinyl seats
Hey gang,
My electrician was asking me last night how to remove mold from his vinyl boat seats.
Any good products he can use?
Thx!

Re: Removing mold from vinyl seats
I just picked up some 3M Mildew Stain Remover for my car that's been sitting. But, I've also heard good things about the Marine 31 kit.

Be careful with bleach,it will eat the stitching on the cushions if you leave it for very long. Not right away but it certainly will degrade them.

Mary kate ''s makes. Product that clings better but one of main ingredientz is still bleach. Rinse seams well. Magic eraser!! Buy the good ones. I have done plenty. I often just use tile but be carefull.

Megs Leather Cleaner (D181) works amazing on vinyl!! I use white vinegar instead of bleach to kill off remaining spores. MUCH safer to you and the seats.

Re: Removing mold from vinyl seats
The 3M Marine Mildew Remover worked like a charm. The seats do feel a little dry, so I'm going to hit them with a decent clean (just to be safe) then dressing. (I have some Griot's I want to try out.)
There was a chlorine odor while I was cleaning, but it wasn't overpowering. Although, I would recommend working outside with the doors and windows open. I went back after everything had dried to hit the spots I missed again, and a week + later, everything looks good.

Marine 31 Mildew Remover followed by Mildew Guard is an amazing combo. I did a review on them a few years back:
