    Going take wet sand with 1000 then 2000. Rotary with electrified wool and marine31 heavy cut then 3401 with orange and marine 31 gloss restorer. This job is strictly fiberglass no brite work. 36 Hatteras. I bid out to 45-55 a foot

    I would see if 1500 will finish out.Sanding twice is dismal and insane on the size of the boat.I would try buff magic with wool on 3401 first.

    I would try Abralon 1500 but I don't think they make it

    I really haven't had good results with 3401 and wool. But the wool pads I'm using may be too long of pile

    I've had good results with 3m rubbing compound on boats

    It will be easier for you if he can take it out of the water,so you can safely zip on thru sanding with a da .

    I may have him do it. It does need a bottom job before it ships to PV Mexico

    I think the grit starts out finishing wise 1000 then 2000.foam as well good product.
