Re: Tire & Trim Restorer on 12 year old Forester =\
It has been this type of plastic:
'structural components that tend to have fibers in them for structure/strength-these typically do not get repaired if broken.'
That I have found SF does not last or absorb very well. Mainly running boards on trucks/SUVs

My bottle of SF shows up tomorrow. Am looking forward to trying. Will report back and hopefully get some pictures.

Is this an unpainted replacement bumper cover?

it's an unpainted stock bumper cover. It comes that way from the factory for this trim level.

Got in the SF tonight. Prepped and applied it to a small spot on the bottom inside of a rear wheel well part of trim. With the sun dropping and a flashlight, on outward appearances it seems to work. Will check again in the morning light. If all is well then I'll do the rest of the car and take pictures.

Sometimes the true verdict can take weeks. It's rare to see a definitive success/fail overnight.

I checked this morning and the color looked normal. If my wife approves, I'll treat the rest of the trim and see how it goes.

We're supposed to be the ones who approve, post a pic! Lol.

I'm still awaiting some time and cooperative weather to get the Forester treated, but given the results of the test spot, I'm enthusiastic about the potential results. I'll be doing the body trim and windshield cowl. Am excited to get this weather-beaten car back into a more pristine shape.
