You didnt happen to use any tar remover on the car after the wash did you. I know for a fact tar removers melt the material nanoskin is made of. To me it looks like you hit a spot of tar remover, heat would habe caused more streaking like appearance and not happened as suddenly as yours seems to have happened.

Not after... I did before....but then I rinsed, foam cannoned, 2b wash, dry, and then Iron-x.

I hope that stuff was off by then! ha

    Re: Nanoskin DA pad issues

Like others have posted, I have used mine many times with no problems.

Just a guess but lubrication and speed must be the problem. I mainly use Nano Skin lubricant but have tried others with no problem. Just a thought but pressure might also come into play. I let the weight of the machine do the work.

I haven't used any of my clay bars since I purchased the Nano Skin pads. I think they are the way to go. Saves a lot to time and effort compared to clay.

Good luck and hope you work it out.

I melted my Nanoskin fine sponge after using IronX that was incompletely removed. My sponge looked very much like your disc but not as bad since I noticed it grabbing right away.

Well that's interesting... I guess some iron x could have leaked out of the grill area onto the front bumper....hmmm!

Thanks so much for all the input

Hmmmm Iron-x by itself should not melt the Nanoskin. However Trix by Carpro (iron-x and tar remover together) will.

Didn't use iron x at the time when I was using my sponge. Either the IronX or I can shake my hand pretty fast!

At most I would use a PC or equivalent running no more than 2 to 3. I do nano skin by hand.
