    I just finished mine last night, using a Dewalt 14.4 volt "snakelight" and the same Solux bulb. It couldn't have been easier, requiring just a bit of Dremel work to fit the bulb and socket in place of the original bulb and reflector. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I'll try and get some pics over the weekend. Since I already had the light, batteries and charger, my total outlay was just under $17.

    If you are concerned about the heat,they make LED bulbs that will give same light without the heat & probably last longer as well

    I actually doubt that. High intensity LEDs do get very hot and even require heat sinks in some applications. I used to do a lot of night diving and used an LED torch and the heat sink came through the center of the lens to be cooled by water, and even came with a protective cap so you don't burn yourself on it.
