My schmitt died!
I was using my schmitt (had it for about 100) and was noticing that the top part where it joins the bottom part is about halfway ripped off. Now I dont go around smashing the thing around, it's used just like my normal stuff, I take care of everything. Now I payed $12 or so for this thing and I was under the impression that it would last longer than 100 cars.
Anyone else have a problem with their schmitt?

No, mines fine. Only some very small slight tears on the white foam face from catching the nipples on my trucks headlights, those little nipples can do some damage when a pad or towel etc catches them.

$ 12 divided by 100 cars ...

Only used it for about 40 washes, but at a dime a wash it's pretty cheap.

Yeah, but I was hoping it would last a little longer. The face isnt even worn away any, it's almost new looking.

Time to try a LC Ulti-mit .
I probably have less than 100 washes with my shmitt but the face is all tore up... headlights and emblems will do that to the shmitt I guess... that's ok though b/c the Ulti-mit fills in quite well.

I'd still say Shmitt is very durable. Think of how many cotton mitts you would have to replace for 100 cars...probably 10 of them. Now at 12 cents per car, that not expensive at all...Very cost effective...I know that Justin was able to get his Shmitt to do 200 cars, but you have to be very carefull with Shmitt.
