    New McCulloch MC1385 Steamer?

Amazon.com - McCulloch MC1385 Deluxe Canister Steam System

Saw this while shopping for my first steamer. I know McCulloch steamers have a so-so reputation for interior detailing. This steamer has no reviews and looks twice as good as the MC-1275 with a longer working time by 1 hour. It has 58 psi which I don't know how that compares to the MC-1275 because I did not find a psi rating for 1275.

Has anyone worked with this machine? I am really interested but worried to invest because of no reviews. They also have a couple other new machines but this machine looks the best.

The 1375 has, 1, 5 star review. It seems to be similar to the 1385. Interested to see what others have to say about these lesser expensive models.

the 1275 I believe is only rated at 37 psi. I found on ebay a STX Mega-Steam 4000, 295*F, and around 60 PSI, MSRP is $350, on ebay for $150 new

I'm going to buy one of them in a month or so. My 1275 has been a beast.

    Re: New McCulloch MC1385 Steamer?

BUMP! I bought this machine and it came in today. I love it and only used it for about 20 mins. I cleaned things in my truck that I have never cleaned before. I always look in crevasses in every car and clean and wish I had a steamer. No more wishing now.

So far I am really impressed with...how much water it holds. It says 64 oz but I def put at least 80. I think that is a plus because you won't have to fill reservoir after every car. Its says 120 minutes of continuous steam which is plenty long for probably 3 cars.

Pressure is what I think the perfect amount for what you need IN a car. For cleaning exterior more pressure would be needed. It says 58 PSI initially but goes down to 35 after a couple seconds of use which I thought still worked great. Water heated up and pressure built up in about 12 mins.

I deal with surf wax quite a bit and this will definitely help. It cleaned out my seatbelt letters like nothing, my cup holders in a jiff, and my vents thoroughly. Comes with way to many attachments for me, I only see myself using about 4 of them. The hose is plenty long although you do still have to move the machine around the car.

I plan on doing head liners as well…yes I am a bit nervous about that. All I know is low pressure and don't saturate…wish me luck. Any tips? I got this machine because I know steamers are a necessary tool in detailing but also this goes along with odor removal which I am now offering as well. I got an OdorFree Ozone machine to offer odor removal in my detailing services. Ill do a review of that machine soon.

I detail in Hawaii and cars here get really nasty. Almost all of my details are on probably what you guys may say is the dirtiest cars you have ever seen. Anyway, I am very pleased with what I have seen with this machine so far, I may change my mind after my next few cars…who knows. But for now Im giving 5 star rating. Hope this helps others contemplating steamers.

I got one too. Used it on a couple of cars so far and it is a beast for the price point. Easily worth $200.
