usually there are 1-2 at most , sales a year with no restrictions where u can pluck up a polisher or some other goodies that are usually restricted by all the other sales that ag puts out practically monthly . sometimes maybe even the VIP would be a polisher . have to watch the sales . if I remember any time there was a no restriction sale it was only for 1 day or for a set amount of hours . are u signed up to receive the newsletter and VIP ? just have to wait it out and hope for a nr sale or fork over the moola .

Just got my Rupes LHR21....Amazing machine...used it after i 2k grit wet sanded a hood full of scratches...
I noticed that from speed 3 to 6 there is no difference is this normal?
I used a MF pad and a Foam pad..same results no speed increase between setting 3 through 6.
not sure if this is defective and should contact the sellers customer service.
Thanx In Advance

It's defective. There should be a difference in speed. Where did you buy it from? I don't think there's a US service center yet, but the store you bought it from should replace it if it's within 30 days.

Oh that sux. (9 days old, first use today 30th.)
I would rather not say where i bought it from, but i just sent an email out to them.
I knew something was wrong, all other units i own have huge speed differences between 3-6.(Flex, PC and GG).
Thanx for the prompt response surfer

Re: Rupes Polisher
Your machine is not defective at all they all do this as I was concerned as well with mine. I did some digging around a little while ago as Bunky (Al) had the same concern and this is what I found from Kevin Brown:
Verified through e-mail correspondence with Marco D'Inca, the engineer that designed the BigFoot:
Kevin:
"Could you please explain the speed setting dial?
It is not linear, and although there may be an increase in RPM above 4.5 to 5.0, it is seemingly imperceptible."
Marco:
"The speed setting is not linear. What is linear is the RMS voltage output.
This makes the wheel more sensitive on lower speed settings, and more accurate near the maximum speed settings."
And there you have it!
Your Machine is fine!
