How many of you do this and would it be ok to just do it one time?
Low heat or air only. Usually takes 2 drying cycles. I read this in another post recently. I've done it and all seems fine.

Welcome!
I toss them in the dryer on low heat all the time. I use 20 minute blocks of time to get them to near-dry,and then air them out to finish the process.

I do it every time on high.
Low heat works just fine. Never a problem

I always use low heat. I don't have the space to air dry my towels every time I wash them. I've never had an issue with drying them in the dryer.
