Question Hplv, can't spray this...mc hammer

Im looking to buy a hplv gun for painting around the house.mi would shoot mostly latex & chalk paint. It would be nice if I could spray automotive paints but know those guns cost around $600. I'm looking to spend around $100-$150

What am I looking for in a gun? Anyone have one that they love? I would like to be able to buy it in person unless I could get a smoking deal online. Lemme know what you think.

I could be wrong but I don't believe I'd run latex through an hvlp gun, at least I wouldn't consider it with my guns.
Maybe the electric type of Wagner paint gun is the better gun to use.

Opps, thought you meant HVLP, no idea what HPLV is.

Permanon is a sprayable paint coating system.

Mine is the 20oz gravity fed (Item #47016).

The harbor freight one works ok. I've used it to paint a few bumpers before. I'm sure there are better guns out there but Im not a painter by trade and was just restoring a $750 car as best I could. Oh and the HF gun is only like $12.

You're never going to get latex house paints to spray properly through an HVLP spray gun. HVLP guns are designed so that the air pressure at the air nozzle is only 10 psi and that is not enough to properly atomize latex paint, it just to thick. You would be better off with a small electric airless sprayer.

Can I thin out the latex? I would mostly be using Killz latex and chalk paint. I've got a conventional sprayer, but its from Home Depot and it is worthless. It won't spray anything and the volume of devlivery various. Sometimes it will spray great and Ill get quick even coverage, most of the time it barley sprays and takes forever to cover anything. Thats with oil based, enamale, latex, and chalk based paints.
