I would save up a little more cash and get a PC, or you can save up a lot more and get the more powerful flex polisher.

Know you're anxious to get started on a great hobby.

My advice would be to buy some decent products(look for a package
    here on AutoGeek=AG).

Do a good job with what you have, and save your money.

Once you have enough, order one of the Porter Cable packages that come
    with the pads, etc.

If you can afford only the porter cable, I would be happy to send you
some Lake Country pads for free to get you started.

You can feel free to contact me off-line, and again, I would be
glad to send you some pads and stuff for free.

Your not going to find a name brand orbital in that price zone. Saving up is probably the best advice given until at least the PC or Megs G110 can be purchased. Dont get one of those big head buffers with no speed control, all they do is spread wax IMO.

I agree with everyone else, save up and get a good polisher.

A lot of people who step up to a machine polisher are worried about removing paint, but in order to remove swirls, scratches, and oxidation, that is what needs to happen. Just know that polishers like the Porter Cable or G110, are very mild, and when used with a light cleaner polish, actually only remove very small amounts of paint.

PC has a longer and bulletproof reputation, you will find few that failed and most have had theirs for 5 years without issue. The G110 is newer, has a little more power, but already seen some complaints on motor brushes. It does seem that Megs warranties the G110 well. If you can afford to wait, the Flex is the machine everyone wants but twice the initial price outlay.
