Schmitt questions.....
First off thanks to all the forum members, your insight on proper car care has been great. I currently use two sheepskin wash mitts and the two bucket system with gritguards in each. After searching the forum, it seems the Schmitt is very popular and I would like to try it. I am a little aprehensive about using it since there is no nap to it. I understand that it is free rinsing, however I am dealing with a black car and do not want to introduce any micromarring. Opinions and personal experience would be great . Thanks

Re: Schmitt questions.....
It's good for cleaning, however I'm dissappointed in the quality as the backing has been known to seperate.

Have you tried ONR with a grout sponge?

Re: Schmitt questions.....
I will be purchasing ONR when my duragloss 901 runs out. I have a grout sponge but have only used it to clean my wheels. I am not against using it on my paint, I would just like to use it along with ONR.

Re: Schmitt questions.....
I just ordered my second schmitt with the thanksgiving sale. The first one last me just over a year and the back has just started to come off 3 weeks ago but is still useable. I havent heard many complaints of this and i thought it was my fault since i left the schmitt sitting in a bucket of soap for a few months while I was using onr. I also like the megs mf chenelle mitt, which is my favorite tool for onr. I have tried washing with towels and grout sponge, but I like the mitt so much more. For traditional washing, the schmitt is awesome and doesnt need to be replaced as often as mf and sheepskin mitts. $10/yr is a great price for such a good wash tool.
Even if you dont use onr for washing, it has so many uses, it is a product to keep on hand.

Re: Schmitt questions.....
Schmitt rocks, love it. I've never gotten marring from it. Its pretty cool to see how easy it is to rinse clean, the white can be black from dirt etc, just a spray from the hose and rub in the bucket and comes out looking like you never washed anything. Releases dirt etc very well. The other side on my is the yellow corser foam which is great for trim, bumpers etc

Re: Schmitt questions.....
I have the ShMitts (white and black) and use them with a traditional wash. They're great and I haven't found them to cause any marring. I haven't used them with ONR yet, since I much prefer either a Cobra 530 or a grout sponge with ONR (with the GS being a slight favorite).
